Thanks to the generous community spirit of Bill Palmer at Palmer Construction the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism was able to host its 20th annual Strawberry Festival without a hitch. Logistical challenges presented by Courthouse lawn and county building renovations were solved by Mr. Palmer's generosity. Attendees and participants of the festival were positive and upbeat about the location change. Festival organizers were also pleased with the outcome. As one strolled through the festival many "old Medical Center" stories being retold were overheard. And many positive comments about the use of the location and facilities were reflected as well.
The talent contest brought out 4 contestants vying for top prize. The hot dog eating contest was met by 4 challengers. Good music by The Country Cousins and the Country Christians was enjoyed by festival goers. And plenty of good food, fresh strawberries and great deals were to be found.
